What happens during a pregnancy personal training session? 

Using resistance bands, body weight and the odd kettlebell/dumbbell, I will tailor exercises to match your stage of pregnancy, changing exercises as frequently as necessary for you and your bump.

I will teach you how to engage your core muscles even whilst pregnant, supporting a quicker postnatal recovery (and potentially a smoother birthing experience). Training your core muscles can help minimise abdominal separation in the later stages of pregnancy and help with recovery post-birth.

POSTNATAL PERSONAL TRAINING

Having children takes its toll on your body, both physically and mentally. Your precious newborn baby needs you for pretty much everything. Postnatal recovery and healing of abdominal separation can be slow due to lack of sleep and poor posture from sitting whilst breastfeeding or baby sleeping on you.

When training with me, we will focus on you. This will give you greater mindfulness of how you stand, and carry yourself and your baby, putting you in a better postural position to aid healing.

C-Section Rehabilitation

Having been a carer and teacher, I have always been passionate about helping people. After the birth of my second child, I retrained as a specialist in pregnancy and postnatal personal training. I am passionate about empowering women and supporting them with their fitness journey through all stages of life, from pregnancy through to menopause and beyond.

As women, we carry a lot – both mentally and physically. Having confidence in your body brings confidence in other areas of your life, too. Your body should be the one thing that you can always rely on. Investing time in looking after it allows you space to focus on you. I believe strongly in the power of strength from within, both emotionally and physically.

What happens during a postnatal
c-section rehab session? 


We will focus on breathing, core activation with the breath, healing your abdominal separation whilst connecting the core correctly. We use physio bands and resistance bands in the early stages, along with bodyweight exercises. These early sessions are rehabilitation exercise personal training sessions. We have to start your recovery by building a solid foundation of a good working core before we bring in more whole-body exercises.
